Bulldogs get social with their online shop
With almost 40,000 fans on Facebook, the Western Bulldogs identified social media as playing a growing role in their member support. Recognising the importance of keeping on the edge of technology and seeing an opportunity for merchandise sales to benefit from their growing social network, in 2011 the Western Bulldogs became one of the first clubs in Australia to launch a Facebook store powered by IMG STG.
"We are offering jumpers, caps and polos directly to our Facebook fans without them ever having to leave the social media site. Best of all, thanks to the App that IMG STG developed, we are learning about who our Facebook fans are and have access to their data via a CMS even when they’re not online."
